Parish Bible Study
St. John’s typically hosts two Bible Studies throughout the year. Keep an eye out for information about these offerings in Advent and Lent.
Youth Education and Sacramental Preparation

Children can begin in our religious education program as young as 3 years (if they are potty trained). We continue formation through 8th grade. We meet from 9-10:15 on Sundays during the academic year. Our youngest children (age 3 through Kindergarten) participate in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atrium with hands-on learning to help them grow in their friendship with God, and to celebrate this friendship in the life of the Church. Students from 1st through 8th grades meet in a classroom setting with catechists about 3 times a month. About once a month parents share adult faith formation, which deepens community and helps prepare them for continuing their children’s learning with at-home family catechesis. 2nd and 8th grade students may have supplementary formational sessions to help them prepare for the reception of sacraments.
